Description of Product:

K62 series casters nylon castor wheelare highly suitable for heavy load and harsh environment applications. These are equipped with enlarged top plates and swivel raceways made from drop-forged steel. The swivel raceway is locally surface heat-treated to provide excellent wear resistance and impact strength. The widened and thickened yoke legs not only increase the load capacity of the whole caster but also make it compatible with powered towing applications.

Benefits:

1. Both the top plate and bracket are made of 9mm drop-forged steel, with impact strength more than 3 times that of ordinary stamped brackets.

2. The 19mm diameter steel rivet, which is hydraulically upset, is used here. This technique produces a very firm and stable structure, thus solving the problem of center pin breakage during heavy-duty steering.

3. The swivel raceway is made acid-etching locally,y and then the double-row ball bearing raceway is deeply heat-treated and hardened. This keeps smooth steering even at a full load of 1.1 tons, which reduces the initial traction force.

4. The optional mechanical locking devices, PSL (swivel to fixed) and UWB front brakes, are available with these models to satisfy the safety requirements of precision operations and ramp parking.

Step 1: Decide on the wheel material based on the job environment:

PI: Basically, this type balances the load capacity and the silence while working. It is perfect for painted floors or epoxy floors as it is very gentle to the floor and also it has a very good shock absorption capability.

NX: This is the easiest type to push. Very low rolling resistance and extremely high hardness, this is a great choice especially for super heavy equipment which requires a lot of manual pushing.

FS: The wheel is made for the most challenging environments at places like steel mills, mines or areas where metal pieces are laying around. It has excellent wear resistance and is also heat-resistant.

Step 2: Measure the wheel diameter depending on the maneuverability:

Everyday handling: Choose 150mm (6") or 200mm (8"), as the installation height will be lower and the center of gravity will be more stable. Obstacle Crossing/Long-Distance Travel: When there are a lot of rough terrains, the main factor will be the size of the wheel, which is 250mm (10") or 300mm (12"). This is because large wheels can easily walk over ground potholes and trenches, thus, the number of bumps will be less during operation.
